Privacy

Edwell is built to be trusted with your footage, so it asks nothing of you and keeps to itself.

The app

Edwell does not collect any data. It has no account, no analytics and no tracking, and it shows no ads. Editing and export happen on your Mac. Edwell reads the clips, photos and music you add to a project, and it writes only the projects and videos you save, where you choose. It never sends your footage or your projects anywhere.

The trial and the purchase

The 14-day trial and the purchase go through Apple's App Store. Apple takes care of the payment, and Edwell never sees your payment details. All it learns from the App Store is the price, when your trial started and whether you've bought Edwell, so it knows whether export is open. The App Store is the only thing Edwell connects to.

Send Feedback

Send Feedback in the Help menu opens a new email in your own mail app, addressed to support@iamjarl.com. It fills in the version of Edwell, the version of macOS and whether your Mac has Apple silicon or Intel. You can read and change all of it, and nothing is sent unless you send it yourself.

The website

This site uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Umami) to count visits. It records no personal data and sets no cookies.
